Cost Analyst

Provides cost analysis results to assist senior management in decision making or other financial initiatives. Performs variance analysis between actual various accounting cost methodologies. Monitors, analyzes, and reports on inventory valuation, production, and various other costs. The Cost Analyst is essential to manage the cost of supplied materials and production.Specific Activities:
- Analyze, publish and follow-up on various operations reports related to transaction integrity.- Review and audit cycle count differences.- Review and follow-up on inventory adjustments.- Assist and support in inventory analysis &
valuation.- Analysis and verification of obsolete inventory reserve.- Run daily and annual Cost Roll-Up processes.- Revisions of BOM, operations and subcontract standard cost and follow-up on findings.- PPV analysis and follow-up on findings.- Review and follow-up Job Variances:
Material, Labor, Overhead and Subcontract.- Analysis of Scrap and follow-up on findings.- Cost saving analysis.- Part of cross functional team supporting MRO spend reduction (gross, and % of sales).- Provide analytical support to individual departments, as needed.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of Cost Analyst experience in a manufacturing environment.- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.- Must have a cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail;
sound understanding of accounting principles.- Self-motivated and forward thinking.- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.- Excellent working knowledge of computer software including Excel and other production/costing software and ERP systems (Epicor experience a plus).- Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of standard cost.- Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.- English fluent, 80% both spoken and written.
