As a Practice Lead for our growing Data &
Analytics business, youwill be responsible for all aspects of the practice:
the strategy, technology roadmap, services and product offerings, team, service delivery, and, ultimately, the practice’s P&
L. As the face of the Data &
Analytics practice, this role is responsible for partnering with Sales &
Marketing to position and champion the practice’s services and capabilities. This includes leading interactions with customers and channel partners (e.G., Microsoft), as well as actively participating in marketing activities such as social media (e.G., LinkedIn) engagement, webinars, and more.

The Practice Lead will work closely across Practices, Business Units, and Sales &
Marketing to communicate strategy, offerings, and innovation within the practice, identifying opportunities for new and existing services and solutions that can be offered to clients. The role will also be responsible for educating the sales department on the services and products as well as working closely with clients in identifying their business needs and providing technical solutions.

In addition to the above, the Practice Lead will be responsible for leading a globally distributed team of data architects, engineers, and analysts that support both technical presales engagement and post-sale projects to deliver high-quality services and solutions for our clients. You will provide strategic direction and operational management on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the Data &
Analytics business is organized and executes to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness to positively impact customer revenue, retention, growth, and satisfaction. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure that the organization’s data and analytics capabilities are aligned with our business objectives.

Our clients are looking for our expertise to help them build modern data &
analytics solutions utilizing Microsoft products. We work closely with clients to understand their IT infrastructure, data estate, business objectives, and how modern Microsoft Cloud solutions can help them achieve those objectives. We support customers across North America and beyond, Mid-Market and Enterprise segments, Commercial and Public Sector, and across industries.

This is a remote role, open to candidates able to support any North American time zone. This role will be expected to travel a moderate amount (estimated quarterly) to attend meetings for Inviso internal, Microsoft, and/or clients, to conferences, etc.

Key activities for this role:

  • Be the face of the practice, develop the practice’s external presence, evangelize and champion our services and products
  • Stay abreast of industry and technology changes, especially in the areas of cloud data and analytics technologies
  • Quickly learn and adapt to new business and technical concepts
  • Cultivate and manage the portfolio of offerings, SOWs, IP, and products to maximize profitability and achieve revenue/margin objectives
  • Educate other technical consultants and sellers on the organization’s services and products
  • Partner with sales to identify customer business objectives and challenges, establish trust and set vision with the customer, develop proposals, and win work for the practice
  • Architect solutions, creating documentation artifacts, and producing estimations for delivery
  • Work with customers to understand their business needs and translate them into written requirements that can be understood by technical and non-technical audiences
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the team, including project management, resource allocation, and budgeting
  • Continuously improve team processes and capabilities that contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team and ensure delivery is of the highest quality
  • Research fair market value of services and how Inviso compares to ensure that our proposals fall within reasonable boundaries
  • Articulate the value proposition and ROI of our services and proposed solutions to prospective customers
  • Write blog posts and case studies, and generally contribute to the creation of new marketing collateral around our D&
    A services and offerings

Experience &
Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data &
    analytics, with at least 5 years’ experience leading technical teams and managing complex projects.
  • 3+ years’ experience in professional services and pre-sales as a data architect.
  • Deep understanding of data management, data warehousing, data modeling, and data visualization
  • Experience in developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures
  • Management experience in software consulting services organization
  • Demonstrated ability to grow services teams organically, through hiring and training
  • Background in supporting business teams by providing subject matter expertise and guidance in modern data engineering
  • Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with large and small technical audiences
  • Experience leading workshops with senior stakeholders aimed at identifying business drivers and articulating enterprise-level solution architectures
  • Capable of speaking articulately to a breadth of topics such as Azure data services, Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, enterprise data platform, data warehousing, data modeling, Power BI, etc.
  • Excellent project management and resource allocation skills.
  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow-through with exceptional verbal and written communications
  • Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces change

Additional Capabilities as a Plus:

  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying solutions using components of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents)
  • Familiarity with Azure Infrastructure, such as Landing Zones, core Azure compute services, and Data&
    AI PaaS offerings
  • Familiarity with Azure Security and Microsoft 365 technologies and concepts
  • Experience managing codebases using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps
  • Experience defining, implementing, and managing data governance programs and activities.
  • Experience with leading other non-Microsoft data &
    analytics technologies,such as Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience with other hyperscale cloud providers, such as AWS and GCP
