Function of this role is Managing End-to-End process of Wet Seal System from RFQ to Order Hand off for all SR1 &
Non SR1 Projects. Accountable for the complete ownership of Pre order engineering to our customer by providing on time engineering deliverables. Motivate and develop engineering teams and enable smooth operation of the business, facilitating growth, communication, evaluation of their performance and enhance their skill matrix, hiring and Training of new employees.

Duties &
Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple teams of Managers / Supervisors/ Team leaders for AMERICA Region for Wet Seal Systems Pre order Engineering.
  • Accountable for overall Engineering KPI ‘s and focus on OTD and Quality metrices.
  • Training &
    developing of empoweredengineering team.
  • Working directly with all internal stakeholders and align with them on Engineering Service Level to meet their expectation.
  • Support and implement all standardization and automation projects driven by Engineering Solutions Team to drive engineering excellence and increased productivity.
  • I- Project – job management tool for seal system engineering as a global tool, Support for migration from I Project to any alternative Engineering project / job management software as directed by Engineering Solutions management.
  • Responsible for standardized product offerings and introduce a cost-effective approach to designing support systems and achieving market leading product cost and lead time.
  • Lead a large group of Engineers, capacity planning, job scheduling and driving quality output of system engineering
  • Accountable for on time submission of. Engineering documents for customer approval, advance procurement, manufacturing drawings to operations as prioritized by Operation / Contract Manager / Project Managers.
  • Distil best practices for achieving growth and help replicate best practices on a worldwide basis.
  • Collaborating with the regional Engineering Managers in key customer engagements and technical alignment with customers and suppliers.
  • Provide input to product line managers in identifying opportunities for product growth and new product innovation.
  • Drive teams KPI and achieve Priority Action list projects of self and team members.

The Individual

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

A Bachler or master’s degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline (Mechanical / Chemical/Instrumentation) with 15 + years’ experience in technology development, engineering, or similar functions.

  • At least 10+ year engineering experience with at least 5 + years of Supervisor / team leader experience
  • Domain knowledge in process equipment and seal systems in Polymer, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Aerospace, Refinery and Turbomachinery areas
  • Strong working knowledge of how the mechanical seal business and markets work, and how to create growth through engineering processes and products
  • Good understanding of engineering process needs in design and operations, key business drivers and industry practices
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate strategies and drive a coordinated action plan.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to prioritize and communicate clearly across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and multitasking are essential.
  • Affinity with mechanical seal systems as essential technology in process industry
  • An ability to work in an international environment with functional teams spread over various regions including corresponding willingness to travel
  • Self-starter and highly motivated to achieve results with limited direct supervision.
  • Excellent people skills and proven ability to lead a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, a proficiency in MS Office,
