It Security Analyst

Develops and executes security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce, and web-based systems. Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. Maintains hardware and software utilized for data creation, collection, and analysis. May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. Opportunity to drive to next generation security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for both cloud-based and on premises solutions. This role helps create policies and continues to innovate processes and services to advance securing our digital landscape.

What you will do:

• Provides operational directions on process and procedures to appropriately analyze, escalate, and assist in remediation of critical information security incidents.
• Monitor multiple security technologies, such as IDS/IPS, syslog, file integrity, vulnerability scanners.
• Correlate and analyze events using the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to detect IT security incidents.
• Works with end-users to validate security incident related tickets.
• Monitors and assists with assigned incident tickets, security system monitoring and incident reporting.
• Communicates project status to clients. Measures and assesses client satisfaction.
• implements new security solutions or tools.
• Participates with various teams regarding security issues, events or incident. Evaluates issue priority and provides front line response to various internal groups regarding analyzed security events or incident.
• Provides security event or incident resolution for known, documented or security issues, focusing on long term consequences. Works with end-users for mitigation of security issues.
• Work with the engineering teams to advance secure coding standards that are based on industry-accepted best practices such as OWASP Guide, SANS CWE Top 25, or CERT Secure Coding
• Facilitate the evolution from legacy solutions to contemporary architectures based on agile and site reliability methodologies.
  • Have a working knowledge of at least one of the three major cloud platforms, (e.G., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Maintain any authored Acxiom technical Standards, Framework gap analysis and security consulting work products.
• Work with the assigned line of business providing consulting on defect management remediation (i.E., network scanning, code scanning, etc.)
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on secure SDLC and provide timely guidance to all areas of the business.
• Maintain Security &
  Risk Management operations related work:
  
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing cross-training, backup support, department goals and enthusiastic customer service.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain the web application firewalls and key management services
• Maintain audit readiness.
  • Gather evidence and store in the prescribed manner for use in audits and assessments.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of audits and assessments.

What you will need:

• Undergraduate degree with a minimum of 2+ years of IT security professional experience
• Background in a technical discipline, (i.E., network administrator or system administrator or database administrator, etc.)
• Background in Cloud Architecture, (i.E. AWS, AZURE, GCP)
• Basic experience of network security engineering or security operations
• Basic knowledge of possible attack activities, such as scans, man in the middle, sniffing, DoS, DDoS, etc and possible abnormal activities, such as worms, Trojans, viruses, etc.
• Basic knowledge common security device functions, such as IDS/IPS, Network and Host-based firewalls, DLP (Data Leakage Protection), etc.
• Basic knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
• Demonstrated understanding of security concepts &
  practices.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

• Functional knowledge of security operations, incident analysis, incident handling, and vulnerability management or testing, system patching, log analysis, intrusion detection, or firewall administration.
• Experience with PCI, HIPPA, ISO, NIST Standards
