The mission of the role:
The Principal Engineer primary mission is to accelerate Visteon’s reputation for technical excellence providing Hardware expertise for the architecture and design of electronic components, equipment, systems, and products by developing global solutions for platforms, hardware prototypes, and providing guidance to cross-functional teams.

The scope of the role:
This role will manage technical aspects of projects according to program timing. Designing and developing electronic circuits for the automotive industry, applying knowledge and principles of electronic theory, design, and engineering. May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to formulate and test electronic designs. Interfaces with Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing groups to ensure quality design of the final product.
Kev objectives of the role:

As Principal engineer II in Visteon you will be responsible of multiple activities related with electronics for automotive products development:
- Develop and maintain HW schematics and bill of material (BOM)
- Review layout activities
- Manage HW design and changes based on costumer requirements
- Control HW modifications during development process
- Conduct technical reviews
- Understand all technical principles applied to the product
- Interface with system requirements, Software, Mechanical and manufacturing group to ensure quality of final product
- Control and maintain the process related to different products including documents like DFMEA
- Review and analyze automotive OEM requirements.

  Support project cost optimization effectively, monitoring expenditures and ensuring that initiatives are delivered within budgetary constraints.

  Measure the introduction and successful implementation of technologies or solutions that contribute to the organization's competitiveness and market leadership.
• Quality and Performance Metrics:
  Track the quality and performance of products or systems, meeting or exceeding established technical and functional specifications.
• Customer Satisfaction:
  Measure customer satisfaction with electrification products, services, or projects, reflecting the success of meeting customer needs.
• Initial HW Schematics and BOM Review

• Continuous Product Understanding Documentation

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

- Bachelor of Science in Electrical /Electronic Engineering Degree or similar.
- Desirable Master or PhD in electronics or related
- 10 years experience or more in electronics development.
- Experience que EDA tools
- Problem solver skills
- Knowledge on circuit simulation
- Understanding of EMI/EMC fundamentals and the relationship between physical layout and electrical performance
- Preferred experience in some of this topics :
○ Power electronics
○ Switching mode power supply’s
○ Schematic and ECAD design
○ Worst Case Analysis Circuit
○ System/Circuit simulation

Other desirable qualifications
- Experience on selection and use of EE test equipment.
- Bases on Functional Safety requirements
- EMI/EMC design and testing experience for Emissions and Immunity test standards
