Job Description
This role will be global as part of the Procurement and Vendor Management remote team, reporting to the VP of Operations. Managing the end to end procurement cycle (business partnering, category strategy, selection of new suppliers, purchase operations, contracts, and management of third-party vendors) to enable our fast-growing SaaS business which delivers emerging technology solutions to the retail and restaurant industry.
You have at least 4 years of working experience at a SaaS / PaaS Company. Experience with public cloud service providers and managing top software vendors is highly preferred.
Joining our team will allow you the opportunity to make an impact in driving the future processes of Signasoft SaaS business and is expected to dive deep in understanding the Signasoft products and solutions, our business, the competitive landscape and the impact of procurement and vendor management on the business.
Responsibilities
As a Procurement Manager, you will…
Develop and implements a three-year strategic category plan for the Cloud/SaaS category with the goal of added value solutions through competitive advantage based on time to market, potential risks, cost impact on margin
Evaluate the implications of regulatory requirements such as price and service controls exercised by industry regulators and international bodies
Plan work commitments and delegate effectively to category team members and promote understanding of strategies, plans and processes, taking accountability for outcomes achieved
Prepare and present vendor cost analysis and risk profile that enable profit margin
Achievement of savings and non-financial targets for vendor portfolio
Change management, actively generates process improvements;
champions and drives change initiatives;
confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
Data-management, analytical and detail oriented, capable of using models for optimization purposes yet balanced with an ability to be able to step back from the data to draw out the right business approach for conclusion
Project management/process improvement skills, effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions;
anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve issues;
creates actionable strategies and operational plans
Drive for execution delivering excellent results under tight, pressure filled timelines
Mentor and develop category team members
What you bring to the team
6+ years of procurement or vendor management programs at technology companies, or equivalent consulting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain or Engineering
Proven experience of leading negotiations with cloud service providers and top software vendors
Proven ability to manage challenging projects with experience leading cross-functional projects and teams, driving results
Knowledge of working with a wide range of software solutions and related services
Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and product development for client cloud-native solutions
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Excellent understanding of an end to end procurement cycle and the value creation / cost drivers that strategic procurement can drive
Experience in IT procurement with excellent understanding of critical technology (e.G. cloud computing, big data, etc.)
