Hitachi Energy is seeking a Production Manager to work at our Reynosa, Mexico location.

*Must be bilingual in Spanish and English*

The job:

This role is responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs and proper productivity level).

To be successful in this role you will:

Ensures compliance with Group health, safety and environmental directives and that regulations are implemented, while monitoring and reporting progress and results.

Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety.

Develops and executes plans to reduce non-value added costs, increase revenues, and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates.

Ensures that 4Q Program (the standard Hitachi Energy process improvement methodology) training and methods are implemented into the organization.

Oversees the creation of manufacturing subcontracts and manages the subcontractor jointly with other involved disciplines, including Supply Chain Management. (e.G. subcontract employees are provided guidance on health and safety requirements and work practices, issued permits to work).

May provide support to Sales during customer visits to explain capabilities of the manufacturing facilities.

Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.

Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.

Prepares annual production budget, oversees progress, and determines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering and a minimum of 10 plus years of experience in manufacturing operations management preferred.

Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

MBA or relevant master's degree Working knowledge SAP Electrical products manufacturing experience Process Engineering or Quality Management experience a plus.

Lean Manufacturing training and implementation experience

Six Sigma training and certifications.

Working knowledge of required health and safety regulations.

Ability to communicate complex concepts via presentations to senior level audiences.
