SENIOR ACCOUNTING ANALYST

Job description :


Our Senior Accounting Analyst oversees an organization's daily accounting operations for Mexico. This person will be responsible for compliance, internal controls, business financial reporting, risk assessment, contracts review and statutory compliance with Mexican government authorities.


Key Liaison with outsourced financial and operation shared services Centers and external auditors.


This position reports to the LATAM Controller


Responsibilities :



  • Responsible of the overall internal accounting and finance control of the country (Mexico)
  • Manage statutory compliance and local annual reports for Mexico.
  • Key contact for Accenture (ACCN) Financial Share Services Centers (FSSC) to support any finance and operations requirements for Mexico.
  • Ensure completion of all accounting closing related activities as per the closing calendar targets.
  • Account Reconciliations Review Work with ACCN &
    Corporate team to reduce aged reconciling items for Mexico.
  • Accounting Journal Entries review and approval.
  • Support Corporate risk review process to ensure Mexico risk items are fully documented and reported on time.
  • Support the implementation of Internal &
    external audit recommendation.
  • Work with Accenture and Global Operations Team to ensure physical verification of fixed assets and inventory of finished goods are performed on time for Mexico.
  • Work with Intercompany Global Process Owner (GPO) to significantly improve Intercompany payments and reduce trapped cash for Mexico.
  • Support post-split (Voyix &
    Atleos) initiatives.
  • Key contact in country to work with EY to support any Statutory / Indirect Taxes requirements.


Minimum Education and Experience :



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA or CMI preferred, but not required. Public accounting experience a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, strategy, and P&
    L analysis.
  • It’s required an advanced level of Excel and Microsoft package.
  • Preferably, you will have experience on data manipulation with the use of tools (Oracle, Hyperion, SAP, and other accounting and finance platforms).


Skills and Abilities :



  • Ability to manage and make progress on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional oral / written communication skills with ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
  • Advanced English level. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English as working language.
  • Highly motivated self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and change.
  • Experience working with tight deadlines and successfully handling multiple priorities simultaneously with minimal direct supervision.
  • Excellent work ethic - high standard of performance and production
