Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY

Lead an operative work team in an industrial working environment, supervise all the activities that meets Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery standards done efficiently and comply with the established procedures of Cooper Standard BTO procedures and operating systems like IATF or ISO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Make sure that all associates have the support of the security team and that they follow the established security procedures.
  • Conduct daily supervisory walk throughs to check for potential insecure conditions in your area.
  • Revise in a daily basis the number of personnel, to have the abilities in which they are certified in the Polyvalence Matrix.
  • Update the payroll system daily, revise attendance of staff in your supervision, and check overtime, extra hours, absences, vacation, permission, and disabilities.
  • Complies with policies and procedures of IATF 16949.
  • Complies with ISO 14001 according to FTM-EHS-12. Matrix of Roles Responsibility and Authority.
  • Perform the daily start-up meeting according to the stablished routine.
  • Supervise and assure that the quality of production meets the stablished standards according to the customer requirements. If necessary, have the authority to stop processes that put risk in the quality of the product.
  • Make the Quality and safety audits according to the system on time.
  • Manage the certification process of direct operators according to the requirements of trained people and multifunctional capabilities.
  • Supervise the SPC system execution. Document data and analyze it.
  • Verify the certification on SPC for direct floor associates
  • Explain to the operators how to fill out the required formats.
  • Comply with the established standards of quality and efficiency for the processes in your area. (follow up with instructional worksheets), supervising the correct registry of evaluations of process as in the filling out of registered worksheets by operators.
  • Direct the distribution of human resources and materials in the area according to the requirements and delivery times of completion to achieve efficient goals.
  • Supervise the execution of the production program to accomplish productivity and BTS goals.
  • Participate in emergency evacuation drills.
  • Being part of the safety brigades as a mandatory task.
  • Supervise the provision of materials to guarantee proper handling of components in your area.
  • Participate in the training of different production processes as well as the operation of equipment and tools at work.
  • Need to be trained on each working station of your production area.
  • Is responsible for the correct production report to SAP (Posting barcodes) to avoid cogis or hanging HU´s.
  • Evaluate the talent development of your staff according to the periods that the Company determines and participate in the detection of necessities for added training.
  • Direct meetings with low level staff to check and review security or other problems that may affect your area and what should be done for solutions such as in important events.
  • Responsible of 6’s goal accomplishment at their area.
  • Comply with the goal of scrap in your area and perform activities for reduction.
  • Request at least 48 hours in advance any staff movement of area or shift. Changes will be required on Friday and applied on Monday or starting the week.
  • Do Kaizen activities and saving projects according to the required goals.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering or Equivalent Experience in automotive Industry
  • Minimum one year experience in manufacturing or process engineering in the production
  • environment.
  • Automotive experience preferred.
  • Mandatory trainings by client (In case of not having them, they will be programmed in the annual training plan)
  • Core tools or any other problem-solving strategies.
  • SPC knowledge desired.
  • Yellow BTO desired.
  • I-MOS system.
  • Medium or advanced Office skills.
  • Basic MSA knowledge.
  • Measuring tools knowledge desired.
