Knowledge

  • Computer literate:
    Microsoft Office (Excel, Words, Power Point), Madic System, UPS or FEDEX, IFS.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Experience in leading a team in a warehousing and logistics environment.
  • Exceptional man management and communication skills.
  • A team player with a positive attitude towards work and staff engagement.
  • Knowledge and experience of health and safety.
  • Proactive with an eye for problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge and operation of ORACLE system.

Communication

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to speak fluent Spanish and English.

Interpersonal

  • Ability to apply interpersonal skills (empathy, negotiation, rapport, sensitivity), to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate character, integrity, honesty, ethical behaviors and industriousness.

Education and Experience

  • Must be enrolled in a 4-year college or master program with a preferred course of study similar.

Primary Objective of Position

  • This is a frontline leadership role encompassing full process ownership for the day to day operation of the Warehouse. Exceptional service delivery to customers both internal and external is the key operational requirement of this role along with the need for excellent man management.

Technical Job Functions

  • Coordinate and direct teams tasked with shipping, receiving, and storage of goods and order fulfillment and supply chain coordination, as well as personnel management.

Authorities and Responsibilities

  • Managing the start-up procedures – unlocking and pre start checks on all operational equipment.
  • Resource planning to maximize efficiency and ensure operational success.
  • Managing the daily work plan.
  • Adherence to stock management systems.
  • Manage and organize daily picking requirements.
  • Monitor accuracy and organization during unloading/inspection of all inbound goods/returned product.
  • Supervise picking and checking process for accuracy and to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal customers.
  • Daily liaison with Transport, Sales and Supply Chain to monitor and improve processes.
  • Full adherence to health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Assist in employee training, development and engagement.
